Andi lives in Clinton, New York with her husband and 48 year-old parrot. She was born in Switzerland into a landscape that nurtured her love of the natural world and a curiosity in people and their craft. She moved permanently to the U.S in the 1970’s; a perfect time for further learning about what was important and how she wanted to live her life. That learning came about through the friendships and family found here.

Andi has photographed since her teens and will continue until she can no longer hold a camera. Finding pictures teaches her to pay attention, be curious, and brave - an essential quality in any artist worth her salt. In the process she has come to understand that living and learning is all about the web of relationships into which we are born.

Andi photographs people and places that reflect what it means to live a purposeful and creative life.

"And that is just the point: how the world, moist and bountiful, calls to each of us to make a new and serious response. That’s the big question, the one the world throws at you every morning. “Here you are, alive. Would you like to make a comment?”  - Mary Oliver
